Zuckermann Unfretted Clavichord 18th Century German Builders
This clavichord was made in 2002 by master builder Ed Kottick. Ed is the author of the classic "The Harpsichord Owner's Guide." For many years Ed made regular visits to the great European museums to examine, play, and listen to antique harpsichords, and is acknowledged as an expert in the history of the instrument. His latest book, "A History of the Harpsichord," covers its entire 600-year history in nearly 600 pages, and comes with an accompanying CD of examples of various historical harpsichords.
This instrument is in a flaming American cherry wood, with ebony naturals and bone topped sharps. It comes with a custom apron stand with turned and fluted legs. The wide range of its keyboard will cover nearly all baroque repertoire and even classical music of Mozart, Haydn, C.P.E Bach and even early Beethoven. A true instrument for the connoisseur.
