The "Troubadour" Virginal HarpsichordContrary to current fashion, the "Troubadour" wasn't designed "after" any particular antique, although we did study a whole range of southern European virginals. The "Troubadour" is lightly built, but strong enough so that it doesn't require an outer case. The exterior is a simple, naturally finished maple enlivened by cherry case moldings (a painting kit is available if you wish to decorate your virginal with color). Build your own virginal harpsichord starting with $175The Troubadour Virginal harpsichord (designed by Dr. Edward Kottick) is now available in parts so you can build your own harpsichord. The video will take you step by step through the construction process. Please visit our Troubadour Virginal parts page for more information and pricing. Specifications:
