Tatyana Nivina

Resident Artist

Miss Nivina has been with the shop since 1994.  She is a native of Kiev, Ukraine where she got her degree in fine art and graphic design from the Boichouk Design Institute.    Tatyana has visited the major European collections of keyboard instruments and amassed an inventory of photographs, books and technical data that, combined with her years of practice, allows her to paint fluently in any historical style.  Dozens of examples of Tatyana work can be found on harpsichords around the world.  Tatyana’s love of nature and study of birds and flowers, has allowed her work to represent not only the types of flora and fauna typically seen on antique European harpsichords, but also, by special request of the customer, birds or flowers that are unique to their local surroundings.  Recently she even depicted extinct birds of Hawaii for a customer.  All manner of decorative finishes are in her repertoire including faux marble, wood graining and gilding.  She was recently interviewed for “O” magazine to highlight her talent.
