"King of Sweden" Fretted Clavichord Kit

from $2,079.00

The clavichord is the simplest of all keyboard instruments and the easiest of our instruments to build. For kits the parts are accurately cut and come to you unassembled. You glue them together, then sand and finish the beautiful American cherry wood with a rubbed oil finish. There are holes to drill, strings to apply, and a keyboard to finish; the key covers are already applied, and you glue on the fruitwood sharps. Building your own instrument is a rewarding experience and our “King of Sweden” fretted clavichord is a good place to start. This is an exciting instrument to build and play.
